Why Bother with a QR Code?

Reviews are one of the strongest local ranking signals Google has — count, recency, and how you respond all feed the map pack. The problem is never willingness; it's friction. A happy customer at the counter says "sure, I'll leave a review" and then has to find you on Google later that night. Most never do. A QR code collapses that into one scan while they're still standing in front of you — that's the whole trick.

Fair Questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. The code is just your Google review link encoded as a QR — it works as long as your Business Profile exists. Nothing is hosted on our end, so there's nothing to expire or renew.

Is it really free?

Yes. No signup, no watermark, no trial. We make our money doing SEO for local businesses, not selling QR codes.

Is it against Google's rules to ask for reviews?

Asking customers for reviews is fine by Google's guidelines. What's not allowed is paying for reviews or filtering out unhappy customers before showing them the link ("review gating"). A sign on the counter that anyone can scan is exactly what Google expects.

Where does my link go when I paste it?

Nowhere. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser — your link never touches a server, and we don't store or see it.
